Skelly Home Office
The Story Behind the Reno
Upon moving in, our little spot on SoCo was only a plain white box.
What an opportunity! You can only imagine how much fun we had renovating our own office space!
Our renovation goals included making the space brighter, creating seven individual work spaces, creating privacy from the busy front-facing street, and increasing storage.
We framed out a new wall to create a more formal front entry and a more private work area.
We immediately installed plenty of under-cabinetry lighting, LED ceiling lights, decorative feature lights, and above desk task-lighting. We even had our own Skelly neon sign created for the front entrance (we're still obsessed with it).
Birch plywood wall panels, floating desks, eccentric wallpapers, custom pale pink cabinets, a built-in coffee station, bright green Cle tile floors, and even a faux brick wall were installed to give our office the packed-punch ambiance that matches our brand!
Part of the floor was also raised to create organic separation of spaces in our "great-room" type office.
